When you arrive in Quesnel, you will want to make your way (taxi ,which can be arranged by calling the hotel) to your hotel (we recommend the Tower Inn, 1-800-663-2009) We provide a complete outfit of the boating and camping equipment, hot showers, fine meals with wine at dinner. All that you need to bring is your clothing and any personal articles along with your fishing gear. Don't forget that towel for the shower and a water bottle for the boat. We provide new sleeping bags for all guests (which are later donated to Big Brothers and Sisters), and the very best mattresses. There is no limitation on personal baggage! The cost of our 6 day trips are $3695 US . 50% is due at time of booking and the remaining 50% is due 60 days prior to the trip date. Travel insurance is advised. (try www.travelex-insurance.com ) You will want to consider the following items when preparing to float the Blackwater with us: Clothing.... Long pants and long sleeve shirts (fast drying for wet wading is good!) Shorts and short sleeve shirts (plus waterproof sunblock) Waders ....... light weight chest type are best and will keep you totally dry with a Rain Coat Wading Boots Camp footwear Sweater or fleece jacket Your lucky fishing hat!

Luggage -Waterproof duffel is great if you have it, but we can handle any luggage you choose for traveling. It will be kept under cover if there is any chance of precipitation. Some plastic bags and ziplocks can be very helpful in managing items while on the trip.
Fishing Equipment........
3 to 5 weight rods are best, although 2's are fun and 7's will work, too.
Floating lines are all you will need! ..... but a bit of sinking fun is there,too.
Dry Flies; size 10 and 12 caddis and stonefly patterns in yellow and orange, and attractor patterns of similar large size (stimulators, elkhair caddis, goddard caddis, adams irrestible, wulffs, hoppers and such). Your favorite nymphs and streamers will find a few fish in the Blackwater as well.
Angling licenses -are required for those over 16 years of age and are in the $185 price range for nonresidents (that's $120US). These can be picked up upon arrival in Quesnel or enroute to the river at the beginning of the fishing trip.
